All mentors will be hired on a rolling basis. Once an application is submitted it is initially screened before any interview assignments. If selected to join our virtual mentorship team, your profiles are forwarded to our various international partners, who are the providers of mentees (students). Profiles will be viewable by students seeking this mentorship service in local offices or online. Due to this model, the ultimate hiring decision for each mentor is dependent on students.
Mentor & Mentee Match
Mentees select based on mentors attending or have attended their dream university, major, area of expertise, background experiences and extracurricular activities. More importantly, menses seek mentor who's passions and interests align with those of their own.
All mentees are international students (mostly high school) from China, Korea, and India and are all capable of communicating in English. Therefore, while it is not required that mentors have Chinese or Korean speaking skills, mentors are expected to be able to communicate thoughts clearly to individuals whose first language is not English. This implies a respect and understanding of foreign accents with a willingness to thoughtfully work through conversations when cultural/language barriers get in the way of succinct communication.
For each mentor & mentee match an independent contractor agreement will be executed, specifying the pay-rate and number of sessions for the respective case. If first client, then mentor will go through our mentorship training program to be fully equipped to with the resources and skills to help menses reach their potential.
The base pay is $40 per hour, but top mentors can expect to earn up to $80 per hour based on their skill level and the mentee service tier level.
Naturally, performance feedback and demand is accrued over time, so a mentor can expect to "earn their way up" to become a "top mentor".
